Katy Area Artists will be meeting Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Community Room/V Gallery of Villagio Town Center from 10 am to Noon. After a short business meeting to review our LSAG show, our current exhibition at V Gallery, and to discuss upcoming events and shows, we will enjoy a demonstration by clay artist Valentine Parker. Our meetings are free and open to the public. Come join us! Villagio is located at 22756 Westheimer Parkway, Ste. 240, Katy, TX 77450.

A Temporary Madness: A Celebration of Art & Love February 12, 2010

Coming right on the heels of our very successful LSAG Open Show is "A Temporary Madness: A Celebration of Art & Love." The artwork, created by members of Katy Area Artists, will explore a range of media and styles. The show is presented in partnership with V Gallery's Ruthie Courville, and will open with a wine and cheese reception on Friday, February 12, 2010, from 7-9 pm. Both the show and reception are free and open to the public. What a lovely start to Valentine's Day weekend!

The show location is the Community Room, V Gallery of Villagio Town Center, 22756 Westheimer Parkway, Ste. 240, Katy, TX 77450.

Our next meeting is January 16, 2010 at Villagio Town Center Community Room - V Gallery, 22578 Westheimer Pkwy Suite 240, Katy, TX, 77450. We will meet at 10:00 am, and will be finalizing our plans for the LSAG Show and the February show at V Gallery. If you are not yet a member of Katy Area Artists, you are welcome to join us and see what we do!

KAA Lone Star Art Guild Show January 30, 2010

Katy Area Artists announce their Lone Star Art Guild Open Show, January 30, 2010. The show will be held at the Cinco Ranch church of Christ, 6655 S. Mason Road, Katy, TX 77450. The public is invited to a free art viewing and reception between 2:00 and 3:30 pm.

All area artists are invited to participate. Complete information and forms are available on this website. Deadline to enter is January 16th.

Divisions include professional, semi-professional, non-professional, adult student and high school student. The show will be juried on the high school level by the art student’s teacher, with all divisions judged by professional artist Laurie Humble.

Categories include: A. Oil/Acrylic, B. Watercolor/Acrylic, C. Pastel/Drawing, D. Abstract/Experimental, E. Photography, F. Sculpture/Jewelry, G. Pottery/Porcelain

Katy Area Artists is a 501 (c) (3), tax-exempt art league, educating artists and art patrons through mentoring activities, show and exhibition opportunities, workshops and other community events. Our meetings are open and free to the public.
