Katy Area Artists announce their Lone Star Art Guild Open Show, January 30, 2010. The show will be held at the Cinco Ranch church of Christ, 6655 S. Mason Road, Katy, TX 77450. The public is invited to a free art viewing and reception between 2:00 and 3:30 pm. All area artists are invited to participate. Complete information and forms are available on this website. Deadline to enter is January 16th. Divisions include professional, semi-professional, non-professional, adult student and high school student. The show will be juried on the high school level by the art student’s teacher, with all divisions judged by professional artist Laurie Humble. Categories include: A. Oil/Acrylic, B. Watercolor/Acrylic, C. Pastel/Drawing, D. Abstract/Experimental, E. Photography, F. Sculpture/Jewelry, G. Pottery/Porcelain Katy Area Artists is a 501 (c) (3), tax-exempt art league, educating artists and art patrons through mentoring activities, show and exhibition opportunities, workshops and other community events. Our meetings are open and free to the public.
