The Loss of a Great Artist

This past Friday, Katy lost our most famous sculptor, R. David Mattiza. Our sincerest condolences to the Mattiza family. David was a master of his medium and a great supporter of the arts. He was one of the founding members of our Katy Culture & Arts Alliance. We will find a way to do an exhibition of his works later this year to honor his artistic merit, his vision and how one artist can make a difference in our world.  Mattiza was a very important part of our community, an integral part of our arts community and will be truly missed.

There will be a memorial service this Wednesday, the 11th at 2 PM, at Agave Road.
